By using KANITO, you consent to the collection and use of your personal
information as outlined in the Privacy Policy. From time to time, we may
update the Privacy Policy and we will post a notice of significant changes
on the site. You should visit this page periodically to review any such
changes to the Privacy Policy.
When you register to become a member of KANITO, we collect your personal
information such as name, email address, hometown, state and country. When
you register your dog we collect the information you want to share about
that canine, name, age, likes, dislikes, sex, etc. All information entered
about yourself and your dog(s) will only be used by KANITO to display on
the site and will never be shared, rented, bartered, sold or exchanged
any other purposeful manner without your consent. The website, however,
is accessible by anyone with an internet connection and a web browser,
which means that any words and photos you post can be copied by any other
internet user. That is the nature of the Internet and though we discourage
anyone from abusing that option, it is something that must be noted.
Public Information: is personal information that may be displayed on the
site, such as gender, age, appearance, weight and height, ethnic background,
appearance, and more, but cannot be linked to a particular user. This information
is meant to be seen by members and visitors to the site but cannot be used
to identify a specific member by name, address, or other profile information.
Members can post images of themselves but no identifying information is
allowed to be posted with that image. Please note that images posted can
be used by KANITO and its affiliates, licensors, partners, suppliers, consultants
and agents in ads or press releases about our site and service.
Private Information is any information that allows others to contact
a user other than through the KANITO site or allows the collection
of information
about the user other than what is displayed on the site. We use email
addresses submitted by members when forwarding anonymous emails. Responders'
email
addresses are not disclosed or other personally identifiable information.
We may use a user's email or address to send information and updates
about KANITO or special offers, contests, or events we feel our members
might
desire. However, any member may choose to OPT OUT of receiving any
emails or offers via mail or texts by entering his “My Account” page
and editing the preferences. Any sharing of email or addresses with third
party marketers is done only with the permission of the users by giving
consent on signup or by changing their email setting preferences at a later
date. Your preferences can be changed by logging onto your account, going
to the "My Account" setting at the top of the page and choosing "settings".
To remove yourself regarding postal third party offers, please write
to the company address at the bottom of this document.
We highly recommend that you do NOT divulge your password information to
anyone. We also advise you to sign out of your account when leaving the
KANITO site.
Aggregate: in order to provide the best possible service and detect and
correct site errors, we collect aggregate information about use of the
site (such as which page are most often viewed) and we collect information
about your computer, such as such as browser type, browser language, and
IP address. This information as well is never shared with anyone.
Your private information will never be shared with anyone in anyway. Other
information you provide us such as age, personal interests and activities
could be made visible on your profile page. This information is used by
registrants and subscribers for searching and matching purposes. Currently
we use your submitted email to notify you of friend requests, but the requestor
never sees that email. When a user submits a Tell-A-Friend form we never
store or copy any of the sender or recipient emails for any period of time,
nor we do store your email service provider account username and password.
The biographical information you enter about your dog(s) is instantly available
to all other users of the site. KANITO does not claim rights for the pictures
uploaded or the text information you add to the site. Please note, however,
that KANITO is a public site and thus all photos and information you provide
are available to anyone with Internet access. Due to the nature of the
internet, it is impossible for KANITO to be a protectorate of your dog'(s')
facts and photos, so you should never post a photo or fact that you do
not now or ever want someone else to have access to.
We also use personal information in connection with newsletters, information,
offers and other promotional materials sent to you for KANITO or third
parties' goods or services. We attempt to have offers sent to you that
are of value to you, such as discounts, exclusive offers or special event
information. KANITO provides you with options to decline to receive communications
from our site (other than those contained in our standard membership agreement).
Some of these options may only be for a certain category of communications;
others may be more general.
Any third party with whom we are allowed to share your personal information
is authorized to use your personal information in accordance with our contractual
arrangements with such third parties and in accordance with their own privacy
policies, over which we have no control, and you agree that we are not
responsible or liable for any of their actions or omissions. Those who
contact you will need to be instructed directly by you regarding your preferences

You have complete control of the information you submit to KANITO. You
may at anytime edit any information or remove your dog and personal accounts
entirely. KANITO only requires a user give a valid email while you have
an account so we may contact you.
Please note, we reserve the right to transfer your submitted information
in the event of a transfer of ownership of KANITO, such as acquisition
by or merger with another company. In such an event, KANITO will notify
you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to
a different privacy policy.
Cookies
We send "cookies" to your computer and use such cookies
as described here. A cookie is a piece of data that identifies you
as
a unique user.
We use cookies to improve the quality of our service and make the
service easier to use for our members. We do this by storing user

it from time to time to ensure your account can be best protected. If you

Any User information that we collect could be released by KANITO to some
third parties for the following reasons: by request from local Authorities,
to apply the Terms and Conditions between KANITO and the User, and to protect
other members of the Site.
Users under 18
KANITO does not allow knowingly anyone under the age of 18 register on
the site. If you are under 18 please do not register or lie about your
age. This is a really serious matter! If we find out that user is under
the age of 18 then the account will be deleted and you will be banned from
our Site.
